okay so here's a little known secret about me... I have a degree. I have an Associates of Arts with a 2.01 GPA.I am considering doing a little trolling (a lot of trolling) and this requires a 4-yr degree. @Nudhul @josh Easy, I didn't care, I didn't do any homework, I put zero effort into it. Funny, the best grade I got was in Ancient History in which the teacher made us read the book and take tests every week. I read the book in the first week because I love ancient history and then just showed up on Fridays to take the test. Got a B+ in that class.

@josh If you're planning to be an ESL Dancing Monkey (no shame, I did it); for most places all you really need is a Bachelor's. The EU/Shengen has a requirement that you need to already be there and not replacing a qualified Euro. Places like Saudi Arabia, actual Universities, and Global Schools usually require a CELTA Cert on top of the degree.If you're not eyeing this direction, feel free to call me a retard.

The only reason you go to a higher school is for networking and trying to get into a snooty club. Those are also the kind of people who think having a degree means they're something special, and not that they met the bare minimum per the state requirement for bestowing a degree.

@Kheapathic @josh True, but that logic only works if you are trying to get a nothing job or something; if I were trolling, I would want something that no one could question, which means either a) it is from a state university or b) a well-known and respected private university. It doesn't have to be Harvard, but it should be one that existed prior to the start of the internet. I always believed that if you just wanted a degree, there was nothing wrong with a state school. If you wanted something in particular, then a private school should be more your jam.

As long as you stayed away from politics, you had the biggest amount of freedom in your day to day life than any other Western country. And staying out of politics is a very easy sacrifice to make - it's a pointless waste of time anyway.Things have obviously gotten much worse over the last years with Xi Jinping and his Covid policies, which have ended up turning large portions of the population against the CCP. I do believe the seeds have been sown for a big political change in China, which I think will happen particularly once Xi's generation dies off - the generation that grew up under Mao - and is replaced by the newer generation that has grown up under rampant consumerism and much broader perspectives on the world.

@josh African universities tend to have lower minimum requirements for acceptance than other universities. One online university that I know of offering degrees is the university of south africa (UNISA) which is often meme'd as being the easiest to pass from imaginable. You'll have to deal with the administration being on "African time", but I don't know a single person that has done the course work and have failed from it. The accreditation is internationally recognized (even though it is embarrassing).

@Zartura @josh @DisasterHighway @Mamako @2Pure4Purell @Kheapathic I watched Peter Zeihan on Chris Williamson's and Triggernometry channels some time ago (both of which I recommend, they keep coming up with good and interesting interviews), and it was all doom and gloom. It's certainly food for thought, and while I'm certainly no geopolitics expert, I did research Zeihan a bit and turns out he's been singing the same song for nearly 20 years now, wrongly predicting that China was already going to collapse years ago.Is he right this time? I can't personally say - certainly demographics is a big challenge for many developed countries, but on the other hand I've seen doom and gloom merchants come and go all through my life, back to the '70s when it was all about how the world was running out of oil on how an ice age was coming. His critics claim he doesn't understand China and the enormous and untapped growth potential it still has in the countryside. China has a scale in many regards that escapes Western perspectives.One thing I do know, is that I see in Chinese people a willingness for hard work, growth and improvement that I don't see in the West nowadays. And whereas in the West, governments, institutions and media have bought fully into the climate hysteria and are seemingly trying to do anything they possibly can to discourage Westerners from having more children, the Chinese government is fully aware of the problem and is doing the exact opposite, launching programs to incentivate and educate young couples into forming traditional families and procreate.

That book is absolute garbage. Zeihan doesn't understand cultural differences at all and subscribes to the jewish thought that all goys are identical, interchangeable economic units. He's an open fag but him being jewish is not confirmed (but I think it's likely).I started to listen to his recent interview on Rogan. Takes he starts with on Russia and Eastern Europe are really bad (idiotic).

Bitch, are you not aware that the southern border is open and millions have come since 2008 and are still coming? Focusing just on Mexican citizens and ignoring all others is either stupid or intentionally misleading. Let's not even talk about the difference in the quality of legacy Americans and the newcomers. And this guy is supposed to be some astute analyst of world affairs?
