@Mummabear Not sure about in the UK, but in the US, Brother laser printers used to be reasonable and the toner replacements not as absurd as others. But admittedly, it’s been almost 10 years since I’ve owned one.

@AgentC @Mummabear seconding. Best consumer brand on the market. Got a scanner/copier/printer model and haven't regretted it

@SirVo @AgentC @Mummabear Another vote for Brother, reasonably priced third party toner works great, printer has run flawlessly for years and is also reasonably priced. Can't beat it.

I'm happily using a Brother Laser printer in my home office for the last 8 years and it's still going like a champ. Toner runs me about $100/year.It's also a scanner/copier...and though I shy away from multi-function devices, it's pretty solid at those tasks as well!@lradcliff @SirVo @AgentC @Mummabear

@Mummabear depends on what you want out of it. If you want a new unit, a Brother is hard to beat. If you have service and repair in your area, an older HP (Laserjet 3 through 6, for example) are excellent and can be fed cheaply. If you want a _color_ laser printer, that's a different question.

@Mummabear For my own needs (small, wireless, light use, inexpensive, duplex), I would get this one today: https://www.amazon.com/Brother-Monochrome-HL-L2350DW-Two-Sided-Replenishment/dp/B0763WDSYZ/It's just 7 1/2 inches tall. I have a similar older model set up in a kitchen cabinet, only printing via wifi, for eight years or so.
