Honestly, I haven't been to the movies since Spider-Man: Far From Home which I saw as the effective epilogue to the whole infinity war saga of the MCU. With that story over and most of the characters having been phased out I decided to move on. I stopped paying for Netflix and other streaming services. I get most of my content from Twitch and YouTube nowadays. I don't give Hollywood or those idiots any more of my money. It's just not worth it.

We need to follow the examples of Ancient Greece and treat modern day Hollywood as their predecessors were, until they get their act together and cut the crap of insulting their customers and trying to “subvert expectations” with franchises which is just code for the absolute desolation of them.

The solution is to create competition. What Daily Wire is doing is a good start, but it's going to take years and they can't challenge the whole system on their own. Infrastructure for movies and TV shows has to be built in places like Florida and Texas. Traditional people in the center and those who are leaning conservative, have to insert themselves into the Entertainment sphere - They need to become and bring in directors, writers, concept artists, animators etc.

The last time I gave any money to Hollywood was when I saw "Joker" at the theater, and I hadn't been to a theater for almost a year before that. They will never see another penny from me. I don't pay to be lectured by assholes.

I agree with you. I take the view that I will still buy the catalogue titles, preferable those released by small labels under licence. The studios don't make much money out of catalogue titles, especially those released by niche labels. It's the new stuff they want you to buy into. Fortunately, they don't make much I'm interested in nowadays (the only new film I supported last year was Top Gun Maverick: buying it on Blu-ray, not seeing it at the cinema.)

Some of friends now openly says they're pirating movies and TV shows, when previously a few years ago they were so hush-hush about it because they don't want to attract the attention of the snobby hardcore hollywood asslickers in our circle lol, and I don't know how to feel about it because I haven't watched any new movies in YEARS I feel like a caveman. I don't even have a TV in my house. The most I get of watching hollywood stuff is from MoistCritikal's reviews lol.

This is why I don't buy or spend my time on anything from hollywood or other institutions that I know hate me. Conservatives ask me why I didn't watch Top Gun or Spiderman, saying "but these weren't bad, no woke stuff and they were pretty good!". They don't see that's how it works - string along the people they hate by giving them something that isn't too bad every once in a while. They just need one Top Gun every few years to survive, even if everything else flops.

@Evenkeeld yeah I don't get people who feel the need to tell you how they have Netflix and Hulu and all the streaming services so they can support the artists. To me its virtue signaling. I don't watch much because theres really not much out there anymore that interests me. Woke and political correctness just takes me out of the story.

@Jack5150 agree, we have some of the services, wife males her own cash etc, but I spend more time in old TV/movie land than much of the modern stuff. Also the "library" has all the new movies so no theater trips.

And remarked that these are possible even if no minds were changed. It was much easier to see the humanity when it’s an exchange and not a shouting match.
