It's the intent that matters.Because I a know people who will swear in every sentence and be very wholesome. Hmm, Okay. Still, as I said initially, the word 'nigger' is a collective name for a certain group of individuals. Similarly, 'jew' is not a slur, it is a collective name for some people. And the Jews have not tried to outlaw the use of this word, nor to announce that only Jews may use it. There are more slur-like names such as 'kike' or 'yid' that are not commonly used in polite conversation. There are also racial slurs, like 'porch monkey' and 'splib', which have more the nature of slurs. The old south had a variety of distinctive terms like 'quadroon' and so forth.
