Some call it weed, for me it is one of my favorite wildflowers in spring - dandelions. I love the bright yellow flowers, the bees and other insects are happy and it is delicious and healthy as salad.Spring meadow with dandelions watercolor painting - find it here: https://karen-kaspar.pixels.com/featured/spring-meadow-with-dandelions-karen-kaspar.html#MastoArt #art #AYearForArt #painting #FediArt #FediGiftShop #artist #watercolor #MastodonArt #GiveArtNotCandy #ArtistsOnMastodon #wildflowers #nature #veganuary #vegan #health #flowers #food #dandelion

@KarenKasparArt @SharonCummingsArt Our neighbors are unhappy about our dandelions, but they can watch our bees while the poison people spray their yards

@grinnpidgeon @SharonCummingsArt I‘ll never understand why people spray poison in their garden. I let nature be wherever possible in my garden and it’s so wonderful to watch the bees and butterflies and all the birds.

@KarenKasparArt Dandelions are great. Every part of them are edible, except maybe the fluff.

@Michaelvaliant @moliver no, not the stems. The fresh green leaves and a few flowers. The rest of the flowers is for the bees!

@KarenKasparArt They are kind of bitter, but make a great tea when dried.

@KarenKasparArt @moliver we eat the fresh leaves in salad regularly… and have collected the yellow petals to make a ‘honey’ (that was a lot of work!)
