Probably not something you’d be too invested in, but would Rebased be able to work on Elk’s frontend?Had a look at it after Lorenz’s latest bitching about Mastodon not having Quote Posts, and it does look nice despite its very short existence. @alex

@Suiglide I see no reason why it wouldn’t work. They’re constrained by the restrictions of Mastodon itself, though.

@alex I’m wondering if it’d be easier to fork Soapbox features and re-implement them client-side on a maintained Elk fork.Although at that point, it’s just a prettier Mastodon with Markdown support and events as the only significant additions lol.

@alex @PhenomX6 @Suiglide IMO Soap it's strictly connected to pleroma in human imaginary but is not IRL. I think the issue are clueless Masto administrators with no technical skills.I doubt >75% are fluent in Ruby most of them are pointers and clickers of MastoHost and other auto stuffs
