Home Depot Announces Hourly Pay Policy Changehttps://cheddar.com/videos/home-depot-announces-hourly-pay-policy-change?utm_source=smartnews.com&utm_medium=syndication Rounding pay by the minute rather than 15 minutes gives the advantage to the company. Squeeze everything possible from the employee. Remember, as an employee, you are an expense and will be reduced or eliminated if possible. #expense #pay #employment

@Breedlov I thought the change was that they were rounding in a way that took money from people. As in if you clocked in at 8:05 they started paying you at 8:15. So now people are getting paid for the time they were actually there. Seems reasonable. And I thought when I heard the story that they were going to have to pay employees for those rounding issues retroactively?

@Ricardus I think it’s more on the other end of the day. If you’re required to work over your scheduled time then you would end up with less. But, I see your point at the start of the day. Unless the rounding is the other way, i.e. to 8:00 when you time in at 8:01.

@Breedlov But I don't have a problem actually getting paid for exactly the hours that I worked. It's fair. I won't fight them on this if they give us healthcare with dental and eye coverage.
