@coolboymew Yeah, pretty sure they'll up and die once artists/studios/… just realize they can't get enough revenue from it.And I don't think those platforms can be a loss leader because they ought to be a major revenue stream.Which is pretty visible when you notice how so many studios are trying to run their own thing instead these days, which is probably just throwing the whole thing down even faster because people aren't going to accumulate a bunch of subscriptions (while buying a file/serie from time to time is fine, hopefully those will stay, specially DRM-free ones like Vimeo).

@camedei456 very much so I believe. They outright get their money back from cinema showings a bunch of times I think, then there's the Chinese market that's ultra massive. And even for stuff that lost money there's always infinite home video sales that just gotta contribute to somethingHowever, I'm not sure, but COVID might have put some permanent dent into that, and them also producing garbage with no legs that won't sell shit in the future isn't a good look either
