@Rasp I will never understand why people bother paying for media. You can get everything for free and it's actually MORE convenient than managing all those subscriptions.

@Rasp for the $10/month difference, the freedom of choosing what you watch, when, as well as having it be ad-free is more than worth it. That said, I subscribe to 2 services, pay, like $20/month total, and am far happier with that than I would be with cable

@Rasp This feels like cable company propaganda. Based on this, for what I watch on streaming services I pay ~$35.00 and for what I watch on Cable, close to the same amount (I don't know, as I'm not paying directly), but I watch about 10 times more on the streaming services. Which still isn't "a good deal".

@Rasp I'll pay or watch ads for stuff that I want to watch. Watching 5 minutes of straight commercials on the other hand with cable is so frustrating. My mindless zoning out wakes up, and I forgot what I was watching and turn the channel.I do pirate when I can't get access to media legally. Otherwise, it's a purchase that I have to weigh. I did pay for Netflix for a bit but ended up going back to YouTube and Pluto.TV anyway.

@Rasp 10 years ago, I paid $20/month to Netflix/Hulu for all the TV I could stream. That was a fantastic deal over paying for cable/satellite. Now that the streaming industry is fractured, neither is a good deal, and I watch significantly less TV.

@Rasp Always happy to pay for streaming service to support the creators. But, it seems there is slowly becoming too many in the middle that are looking to profit off minimal contribution.Like cable, the greedy corps will shoot themselves in the foot, then hide behind a legal system geared towards protecting the rich and punishing the poor.Hopefully they'll get their heads out of their asses, but not likely.
