       The difference between a DIARY and a JOURNAL.DIARY:A diary is for sensitive types who want to record their feelings. Oftentimes diary writers go to their diary when they feel angst, depression, or want to cry. But hey... it beats paying a psychiatrist.JOURNAL:A journal chronicles events with little to no emotion in why they happen, but reasons. A journal, especially for writers, might also contain reportings of events, and commentary on them (not much different than posting about crap).

       @obihahn @jessecoynelson I had a diary when I was young and I strongly recommend it. Gives you a much better insight of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, and makes you a much better writer too.

       @lccmv @obihahn If you put things in a diary/journal/log... whatever you want to call it (again, I put diary more in the feelings category), it also forces you to see goals you set for yourself, and to do a check... "am I where I am supposed to be now?"

       @mrmcmayhem It so natural for me, having forced myself to do this since 1995. When it comes to memory reinforcement, the things that I pull up when needed can be very valuable. My ex tried to swindle me out of reselling our jointly-owned property when we were married. I had numbers and facts to dispute her disordered memory. Very valuable.

       @jessecoynelson you actually made me think about how when my wife and i went to do some climbing and rambling in iceland i kept a journal every day, and then i converted it to audio and put it over some video and picturesbut its so nice going back to read what i was thinking, i need to do it more

       @jessecoynelson i dunno what the rules are over there but in the us you can go to a site, buy the spores no problem at all, then you go to etsy, get a pre sterilized grain bag to grow the mycilium in, then release it into a mono tub, mist, keep the air flowing and harvest

       @mrmcmayhem They're pretty strict here. But I am also told, because we have small mountains all over Korea, that the seniors who hike all the time... some of them know where some of the special herbs are 😉 Probably somewhere here those mushrooms may be growing too.
