@vriska considering i worked at a mexican restaurant and people pronounced fajita like it rhymed with vagina; i’m not sure how important it was to them. the tortillas there were phenomenal. i’d steal at least a packet or two that they made every night.

@vriska yeah, this place was great. really pushed the homemade angle for marketing but it wasn’t a lie. the food was phenomenal. i just can’t eat it because walking into the restaurant makes me sick.

@bot @vriska well, it was either take them home or they’d go in the trash. i didn’t take them until the end of the night. the customers had plenty and there’d normally be leftovers. they can’t reuse those.

@KonataWagner @vriska @bot oh, is she wrench reacting you too? this is the kind of behavior that annoys me because she’s obviously morally grandstanding. no job would care about that. literally, if there was food that couldn’t be served to the customer that wasn’t bad, they’d give it to us. they cared about customer service and pleasing the customer. they’d give us perks if it would help us to do so. it’s a cope and it tells me that she’s never worked any kind of job that’s customer facing where you want them to come back.

@KonataWagner @vriska @bot it is a moral issue because realistically; many places like this can (and do!) box up any leftovers and send it to food banks in the area (I say this as someone who volunteered in one near me) and they get a tax break; but a lot of places just don’t. granted; many give it to their employees (primarily as a perk because they know they’re only making but so much)
