Built-in to the #MacOS :apple_inc: settings is the option to turn on "Background sounds" - giving you instant white noise, rivers, and rain sounds.:shock_fb: Nice!

Tip: You can also play background sounds right from the desktop by adding the Hearing module to the menu bar or Control Centre. Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Control Centre in the sidebar, then turn on “Show in Menu Bar” or “Show in Control Centre”https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchl3061cdc6/13.0/mac/13.0

@matt Thanks for the tip. There's a **lot** of useful stuff tucked away in there — I know Apple makes some of it available to select & configure during the macOS setup process, but they could do more to make users aware these things exist.

@matt Oh, this is nice. On the Mac, I'd been leaving a tab open with https://mynoise.net, but on my iPhone, I'd just go into my hearing aid settings and pull up the Bright Noise when I had a tinnitus flare-up.

@matt omg, I totally could have used this 10 years ago. When I used to work in a cubicle, I would listen to nature sounds that matched the current weather outside so I didn't feel so depressed not having a view to the outside.

@matt This is great. The rain even has birds chirping in the background (of the background)

@matt This requires macOS Ventura at least. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212775
