No one wants to hang around in the pouring rain waiting to make sure with your own eyes that the garage door has closed. Matt’s creation lets you check your garage is secure from the comfort of your own indoors.https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/did-i-close-the-garage-door-let-raspberry-pi-check-for-you/#RaspberryPi #automation #maker

@Raspberry_Pi does it check the garage for forgotten documents, too? Asking for a friend.

@Raspberry_Pi if I had a pound for every published electronics project involving garage doors, I'd probably have enough to buy a few Raspberry Pis.

@Raspberry_Pi Or just spend £20 on one of the many many door sensors available. Cheaper and more reliable than whatever that is. I use Shelly Door&Window2 which integrate locally with Home Assistant and run for 2+ years on a lithium battery.

@zds107 I jiggle the back door 18 times even though I locked it myself. Maybe the dog unlocked it. Maybe I remember myself locking it YESTERDAY instead.
