hottest food I've ever had is several pequin peppers right off the vine. we had a little pequin plant and we would use it to make hot sauce for breakfast foods and the fam would test one another as to who could eat the most before going for milk

they are "5 to 8 times" as hot as jalapenos according to the scoville scale and that sounds about right. they're nothing but heat!

@mrpieceofwork spicy food for breakfast with coffee, it's something alright. I love it. great stuff. can't explain why it pairs so well but it does.

we should get another pequin plant! we actually managed to farm like 6 of them and even had like little grow lamps. it was adorable and watering them was one of the only chores I actively liked doing

tag what the hottest thing you've eaten is. clearly I'm near the top of the scale but I've never eaten like a whole ass carolina reaper raw, just had it in hot sauce form.

@starwall@wizzzard.online i've had carolina reaper (no flavor imo, just pain), and season my fish sticks with a blend of trinidad scorpion and chocolate habanero. the scary part about that stuff is it was grown in Ohio.
