ThreadI have commented previously about the #ResignationCascade that I receive as a likely outcome for much of the Biden Administration and Congress (not to mention a fair whack of the swamp bureaucrats). This #ResignationCascade is a manifestation of a larger #FailureCascade affecting us all. The recent announcement of falling federal tax revenue that flies in the face of rising prices is emblematic of this collapsing fustercluck that we have to endure for some time to come.

The Democrats/swamp hold office and have thus been able to wield power due in no small part because they have manipulated election processes for a LONG time. It has been very convenient for them that office and power almost always go together.But not always.

When the Soviet Union collapsed, pretty much every office was held my a member of the Communist Party. But there came a moment where the realities of the economy and the disgust and dissent of the citizenry pulled power away from office and the ruling elite collapsed.I was a kid living in Falls Church, VA, when Nixon's Presidency entered its terminal decline. I still recall the demonstrations in front of the White House. "Honk if you hate Nixon!"

I believe that Nixon's resignation did not take place because the evidence of his guilt was so overwhelming that the Senate's vote to convict was a certainty. It became apparent that the Senate's vote became inevitable, I'd suggest, because the Senators became convinced that their political future rested upon their compliance with the demands of a public out for Nixon's scalp.

Absent this popular sentiment, I'd wager that Nixon would've been able to do what so many presidents have done (Clinton!) and just brazened it out. What I see happening before our eyes right now is a rolling cascade of failure, scandal, corruption, stupidity, and incompetence.

The documents next to the Corvette is a story of stupidity that simply will not go away. As I have pointed out elsewhere, the question is not will Biden be impeached. The question is what will he be impeached for first? Classified documents? The border? Being owned by the CCP? Ukraine? Etc.

Unlike the 1970s when Nixon's resignation allowed Ford to cauterise the wounds and limp through his term with much of his administration and the government intact, I do not think that a resignation, impeachment, or 25th amendment process with Biden will be enough to staunch the bleeding.

Firstly is the simple fact that Harris will follow Biden. Gerald Ford was a very experienced politician with gravitas and reputation. Harris lacks any of these strengths. Any move to depose Biden will, I predict, set off a wave of resignations that I am almost certain will take out Harris in short order. Now, having processed all of that, and having factored in whatever else that you consider to be germane, think about all of the crap we have been sold about a "plan" that was supposed to come in and save us all at some point in the past months. @Andre well, I would ask each one of us to step back. Where were you (mentally/ aware, etc) 6 years ago? I'm light years from that spot. I had no idea the depth of corruption and evil.
