I dont think swords offer alot in three houses. They really didnt give swords users any good classes to sit in and overall they arent that good in three houses. I know its not a answer to your question, i dont know of a good way to actually run alot of them if you are on higher difficulty and arent just doing it for a meme

Swordmaster gets extra crit, and he should have high dex, so does that mean I do vantage wrath as a swordmaster? Or vantage wrath in hero? Or should I just skip swordfaire and do some flying class anyway?

They pretty much made felix to be a mortal savant but the problem is that the class sucks. If you are committed to it ms or swordmaster will work just fine if you give him the right class abilities, but I dont really know how to build him specifically. And I dont want to tell you something generic like throw him on a horse

Swords are probably ok with Byleth since training him is a pain and that's his default path, I guess. But they're probably bad for everyone else Lances have some good combat arts and axes are inaccurate, especially on characters with low strength

@KonataWagner @LovecraftEnthusiast Felix is a bad mortal savant due to his low MAG stat. Mortal Savant is essentially a sword class with high MAG as its gimmick. It's really good for the magic swords (Levin Sword, etc) and therefore it's best with characters who have high MAG and possibly a sword talent (Marianne is the best suited for this, imo, Lysithea it's a bit of a waste I'd say because she should be a more pure-magic class).Mortal Savant gives a really bad speed growth, as opposed to Swordsmaster which gives the best speed growth in the game (tied with assassin).Felix is wasted as a Mortal Savant, you essentially get a Swordsmaster without the special skills of Swordsmaster with much worse speed. The difference near the end of the game between MS and SM speed could be something like 5-10 depending on what difficulty you play on and how hard you focus grind. You'll feel that.Felix has the 2nd highest STR in the game (after Dmitri) tied with Edelgard, and the 3rd highest Speed in the game (after Petra and Ingrid who are tied for first).I'd say the most viable classes for Felix are:1. Sniper2. Swordsmaster3. Wyvern Lord (because Wyvern Lords are very OP in the game overall)

I remember using mostly axes but I don't remember why. I think it was for getting into wyvern lord. Yeah bows were the easiest way to grind exp and whittle down the health of mobs.

Which I guess is the optimal thing to do with every physical unit if you have the time to train them all, unless if you're a dodge tank maybe? But I don't see how people train all these classes without grinding or even exploits Like, guides will say "give your paladin sylvain hit +20 and death blow". How the fuck would I master that many classes and reach my final class with a reasonable amount of the game left?

I dont use alot of them, but if you go to any of the fe online forums it feels like half the responses you get on “>I like x character, what do?” are lol just go wyvern lord, even on characters that its actively annoying to do it for. They just made the class an absolute flying battleship this iteration.

@KonataWagner @LovecraftEnthusiast Mortal Savant is situationally really good, just not for Felix. Some people think of it as a sword class that can use magic. Those people are wrong. It's a magic class that can use swords.MS gives you ++ on STR and MAG and bonuses for Swords and Black Magic. There's no Black Magic that scales with STR (and very few characters that have high STR and high MAG at the same time) but there are swords that scale with MAG.If you want to build a strong mortal savant you have to do so purposefully from the get-go. Learn the right skills to make the gimmick stronger, particularly Vantage from Mercenary and Mag+2 from Monk. Because the Vantage counter is just one attack anyway, and it's first, it matters less if you have speed advantage or not if you're able to kill all the attackers who're going for you in one hit before their attacks land. You should use Marianne or Lysithea for this, ideally.Remember that MS can also use magic, so you can have a tank who heals. If you use Marianne you get physic for example, so you can use physic during your turn and when the enemy attacks you they die.

@KonataWagner @LovecraftEnthusiast Give them authority lessons at every lesson opportunity and you should have enough for any character by the time Part 2 rolls around. Assuming no NG+, do explore more or less every free day to replenish motivation with food and to farm professor level.But anyway, spamming Wyvern Lords is boring and generic. I used 2 (Petra and Seteth) when I cleared SS on Maddening for my first playthrough. Have a bit of sovl and give characters a class you think suits their personality or is fun.

@KonataWagner @LovecraftEnthusiast Secret Transport Force has Stride and is flying afaik, you get it from the Anna paralogue, but I never used it. I used the basic disruption and assembly ones because they inflict rattle, so I would use it to movement-stun two enemies when I needed to.
