I impulse bought this on Etsy before noticing that "grok" is misspelled. This was a rallying cry for the fans that organized to save #startrek from cancellations in the late 60s. #Grok is a verb from #sciencefiction meaning to personally resonate with or identify with something on a deep level. I don't understand why more people aren't talking about how #neurodiversity has been constructed in popular culture. Just, look--> it's a bunch of weird, shy, obsessive nerds self-organizing around a character whose whole thing is his utter, unfailing devotion to his friends and being unable to correctly express it in the way that you're *supposed* to. Ow, pressure in my head is squeezing out liquid from my eyes.

That's what it really means to grok Spock; it's to recognize him as a fellow #neurodivergent.

@crysophylax More specifically, "grok" is a Martian word coined by Robert Heinlein in _Stranger in a Strange Land_.

@gmcgath I think I started reading that but never finished it.
