@drahardja -Thank You! That is a great reminder:1) Even sound predictions usually take longer to occur. *I* predict "no hard work" by 2123, if not before.2) There is WAY less manual labor now than ever before. For example: 100 years ago, one in 3 Americans worked on a farm. Today it is 1%.3) We could EASILY have 4-hour work days, but we (society) CHOOSE to add more work rather than more leisure. #UBI (Universal Basic Income) could reverse that virtually overnight.

@AmerLiberal @drahardja Charles Proteus Steinmetz is a curious character. A Socialist, and closely associated with the founders of General Electric ― many of whom, strange as it sounds, shared his political views. He was also physically deformed, the last kind of person Victorian Social Darwinists would have wanted to admit as an immigrant. But modern life is unimaginable without his work. He took Tesla's alternating current, and made of it something people other than Tesla himself could use!

@drahardja -How hard we Americans work is political/social problem, rather than a technological problem.

@publius @AmerLiberal @drahardja He'd be alternating in his grave if he knew how things were run now at the meatball.
