@killyourfm Yes. 4 is basically only good for spoken word, but 2 is supposed to be pretty good. This will be the first time I try it. Another option is regular quality, mono, twice the length. But obviously not a good idea for recent music.

@trezzer @thanius I certainly will! This tech passed me right on by because I was content with (and invested in) CDs and cassettes. But hey, better to experience it later than never, right? Besides, what matters most to me is the process of creating the mix, and that it's on some sort of physical media!

@killyourfm MD is awesome. I've just got a NetMD, meaning upload buffer so I don't need to manually record tracks. Not as fun but more practical. NetMD also means MDLP compatibility, with up to 160 alternatively 320 minutes (LP2 Vs LP4) on a single 80 min disc.Also, I love the whirr of the disc! :)@trezzer

@thanius @killyourfm my non-NetMD also does MDLP. Getting NetMD wasn't a priority for me. It's neat, for sure, but having to do everything real-time and entering things manually feels more like the kind of effort I WANT to put in. It makes it feel more intentional and if I make a mix, I really stop to think about it because it is an effort. Today, moving slowly feels like a feature rather than a bug.

@Ateriath Probably not, and I don't know of any conversion tools that are free.
