       The US healthcare system is very efficient at getting the unemployed back to work by dropping your employer-held health insurance when you lose your job.Your choices are basically:Find a job that offers benefits-or-Risk financial ruin-or-Avoid medical treatment (ie, die)anyways, I'm just venting. I could maybe afford COBRA bennies for three months, but then I'm broke and wouldn't be able to pay my bills after severance pay would end.

       Not to speak of folks that have jobs that don't offer benefits. Healthcare is a human right and it is often denied in favor of profit.
