Our tiny computers look very different from “normal” desktops, which can be a bit startling for beginners. But they are actually much easier to set up than you may think, and can perform all the same functions as that massive tower under the desk you keep stubbing your toe on.We've created a simple step-by-step #tutorial to make sure you don’t get stuck at the first hurdle and leave your #RaspberryPi languishing in a drawer somewhere.https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/but-were-absolute-beginners-how-to-set-up-your-raspberry-pi/

@Raspberry_Pi Thank you very much for all the work you are doing. 🙏 I'm wondering about the progress of the free firmware. This is the most current piece of information I could find: https://www.osnews.com/story/134773/how-is-the-free-firmware-for-the-raspberry-progressing/. Any news on this? It would be really cool to be able to boot a Raspberry without having to rely on closed source firmware.

@Raspberry_Pi your tiny computers cost as much as Intel mini-pc which is many times more powerful. Do you care to answer why your official dealers only send overpriced bundles and never have bare boards in stock?Rpis are everything but accessible these days

@Raspberry_Pi I second the point that it can replace the tower under the desk (I do still have one) but 98% of the time it languishs unused and the Pi400 under the kitchen dumb TV does all the daily stuff [emails, Banking, photo editing, Python coding, music library, streaming radio, iPlayer(UK), Youtube "How to make white sauce" etc etc].NB Hopefully the current supply chain issues will pass and get them back in the retail chain soon.

@Raspberry_Pi I'm still rocking a Pi 3B+ from like 2017 or so. Still works AMAZING and I've found about a gazillion ways to set it up.

@Raspberry_Pi love the product. But they’re so expensive here in Brazil. ☹️

@Raspberry_Pi The only problem is, you can't find one and they are expensive. It's better to switch to x86 SBC's at this point.

@Raspberry_Pi"can perform all the same functions as that massive tower under the desk you keep stubbing your toe on."I live my Pi's, but come on, that's a bit of a stretch.

@Raspberry_Pi I can't get Destiny 2 or Halo Infinite to run on my Pi4, but they both work on my toe-stubber under the desk. Think you need to consider the wording if your posts a bit more, they're pretty misleading for beginners who might think they're getting something they're not.

@Raspberry_Pi I mean, like, not really no. Just the one it came with. Some of the edges are getting burnt. I try to be very careful with with it.

@Raspberry_Pi it is a different processor. There is a lot of stuff you cannot do. I really wish things could be a little more compatible. If only it was all x64. Open source makes it possible to do a lot though, if only compiling from source was a little easier and more reliable.
