Yeah no I'm sure it's just PURELY a coincidence that the 3 instances everyone is sure are fascist/bad now are: JortsHorse, Kolektiva, and Discordia, which all happen to be queer leftist spaces full of socialist shitposters.Just randomly shook out that way, right?Fuck off.

@AnarchoNinaWrites Have they been defederated by any major instances yet? It always seems like when this discourse starts that it's like two people making noise as opposed to a serious campaign but then again I only ever seem to find out about them afterwards.

I just happened to come back to a bunch of fediblock nonsense, like I just saw some guy calling someone an actual Nazi, for a post more or less saying "yes trolling the Fediblock tag makes you Hitler, the more you troll, the more Hitler you are." Which is a snarky joke, not f*cking fascism.It may well not be a lot of people, but the instance I'm on is already taking their side - I've seen the moderated tweets.

@anarchosynthism So it is entirely possible that this is bugging me more than it should, and I feel more threatened by it than I should, simply because I'm on Social and I probably shouldn't be. I don't know.But I'm not loving what I'm reading, and I cannot help but notice that it's pretty much mono liberals, calling queer socialist instances racist/fascist, and the examples being provided, at least that I've seen, are quite fucking CLEARLY in bad faith.

@AnarchoNinaWrites I'm also on Social. It's definitely a very eurolib spot with plenty of moderation blind spots (particularly around race), but I'd be very surprised if they started blocking queer or socialist instances. It seems like someone tries to get kolektiva blocked every few weeks and it never goes anywhere. Very curious about the associated and moderated toots though! I may just be missing context because I haven't seen it yet.

@anarchosynthism A grifter local to Toronto who makes her bones by hugging nazis, punching left, and hindering the work of actual anti-fascist groups was getting called out here on Social. Some of it was rude, but none of it was fascist or bigoted. Anyway this person has like, actual online minions searching up mentions - reported, deleted, dude got a warning. Saw it with my own eyes (know the guy IRL) and it made zero sense except "shitlibs" and "buying this grifter's shtick" so I'm concerned.

If someone quasi-internet famous is running around saying she's an antifascist, while hugging nazis, and calling ACTUAL antifascist action groups (full of folks who ain't white dudes btw) racist/misogynists/the real fascists?You can savvy why those posts have to be made right? So wtf is Social doing besides actively stopping antifascist work here?
