Do you consider sandwiches to have a correct order of assembly? Like for me, the meat or other protein should always go on the bottom, the mayo or other sauce and/or cheese goes on the top slice, tomato, lettuce, or other vegetables go on the bottom slice above the meat, and onion, pepper, or other seasoning go as the last thing on the bottom slice. #food #sandwich #lunch #poll #polls #askfedi #askfediverse

@atomicwrites You are assuming everyone makes sandwiches with disgusting American bread.Try doing the same thing with a French baguette, or even a ciabatta bread, and it's a whole different ball game. Because baguette has a top and a bottom. And don't get me started on all the other kinds of bread there are out there... 😉

@ParadeGrotesque Well I was referring to a baguette style bread, or a hamburger bun. With American sandwich bread while I do think there is a top and bottom side it's not much of an issue to flip it. But i have watched my dad obliviously build sandwiches upside down on baguette-like bread and he says the up side doesn't matter.
