       OK it may be time for me to expert up on #bluetooth and #BLE... Should be an interesting area to learn.I am going to start by reading a book on the subject 🙂

       @revk if you happen to have something that can scan for BLE devices (a cheap esp32 works great), it can be pretty helpful to just explore the characteristics.From a security perspective, Bluetooth feels kinda sketchy (imo)

       @zstix Indeed, ESP32 will be my weapon of choice once I get a handle on it. It is frustrating to know Ethernet and IP so well down to the wires and bits, and up to BGP and TCP and so on, but not know bluetooth at all. So time to learn I think.

       @revk I know some bits about it from RF security training. https://github.com/hexway/apple_bleee is eye opening. Running it on a commuter train (before covid) could see multiple hundreds of apple devices and their status.

       @mansr @revk blee also shows you the state of apple devices.. If the person has their phone screen on, if they are on a call, stuff about their earbuds etc.. If the laptop screen is open bla, bla bla.
