@stux I will say in public hell no! It scared the shit out of me when the neighboring ten floor building started shooting fireworks early and I could hear loud bangs and see lots of smoke. It brought me straight into “omg its a Russian attack” mode 😭

@stux No. I have become sick of fireworks. Because like so many other things we overdo, we have gone way overboard with them here. People set off too many, too large, and do it too close to their neighbors.

@ZySoua @stux Same. My dogs are terrified of fireworks and I spent New Years Eve having a slight anxiety attack over my dogs having anxiety attack.

@stux Fireworks are completely legal where I am and a few did set them off last night. There's a store selling them year round. I've avoided them for the last several years as 2 of my 3 dogs and both cats get scared. One dog was trained hunting and has no fear of guns or fireworks. Or much else for that matter.
