People often ask me why I don't make more content or don't do X or capitalize on Y. A lot of it is because I like watching stuff more than I do making stuff because I'm kind of lazy. I also really like seeing other people shine. I love to promote people and get hype when I see them doing well.

@GatorTime To be honest you are kinda mid. Your best content isn't really content, it is just you playing games and doing your thing. You are way less self-conscious when you play Destiny and it leads to some pretty funny moments because you almost seem to forget you are streaming. The stuff with Spooky is pretty okay, but that is carried by the chemistry you have with her. Your Rand streams you end up getting completely mogged by him.sorry to be a dick but at least you aren't flam so that is something.

@CrushBead Mid is kind of what I'm aiming for. I don't have the schedule or energy to be top of the sektur, but as long as I can make interesting stuff here and there and entertain people from time to time, and make a little bit of money having fun, that's kind of my sweet spot. Casual gaming streams are fun because I don't have to do much but stream of consciousness.

This is my philosophy too. Streaming is something I want to have fun doing, not make it a job. Sometimes I'll put a lot of effort into planning content and discussion for a stream, and sometimes I'll just be camera off in my pajamas speedrunning RE4 or building in Minecraft or something. I'm just here to have fun with chat, hopefully make people laugh, and maybe make some extra money for my family.

@GatorTime You can do the infrequent thing and still be top of the sektur, look at Jim.What I am talking about is this self-consciousness that you show to have sometimes. It is like you are too aware of chat and you end up slowing down as you focus on it. Things become choppy and start to feel disjointed. Compare that to when you play destiny. You almost seem to stop paying attention to chat, and kind of forget you are streaming mid game while you banter with your fireteam members. That is your top content.I am sure that self-consciousness is something you can grow out of, but you still kind of have this sidekick syndrome as a consequence of your years sweeping up after the gunt, and it does come out.Strangely you don't have that sidekick feel with spooky. It comes across very naturally and the flow is smooth.

@CrushBead I think part of that is also being pretty easily distracted and ADD. I like reading chat but sometimes I get really autistic about it and want to read everything, even stuff I should probably just skip over and ignore. and yeah, used to having to be the color commentator and play off someone else. With Spooky we play off each other very well because we've been friends for a while.

I honestly don't know how you guys comment on stuff and have full conversations while you are playing. I had some fun streaming gemstone cutting/carving and silversmithing, but talking while doing it just resulted in accidents - and not the kind that increased view count.

Yes, I dont have any submitted RE4 runs on SRC though. I was trying to do routing for 100% all treasures. I wrote the 100% route for Village and was a mod on SRC for that game. My only actual run on SRC though is for an RE2 conversion mod called Kendo's Cut lol.

I want to say RE4 probably had a fairly isolated leaderboard compared to the other Resident Evil's, maybe alongside 5. I've done a few casual runs of NG Professional, but when I was really into RE4 I was trying to come up with a route for 100% All Treasures, because at that time nobody had submitted any runs for it yet. I used to be in the RE4 discord server with esfrenchie and mike wave and luis_sera etc before my discord account got nuked.

@chudbere @GatorTime @CrushBead How long ago? I'd say I fell out of the community at the start of 2021 pretty much. Luis is the GOAT tbh, he ran the Ps2 Version for so long. I ended up picking that version up too. I really only ran on Ps3 and Ps2 NG+ Normal and Separate Ways

The name rings a bell! NG+ sounds like it would be a lot more fun to do All Treasures in, but I've always been a glutton for punishment. Figuring out a consistent strat on NG for how to kill the extra Salvador at the back village gate to get the ruby before you go in the shotgun house took me forever.

Oh interesting! After killing Bill, I go in the first house and grab the incendiary and go straight to kill the 3 at the back gate. Then I just run straight to the shotgun house then go get the shotgun and out the window onto the roof, then around the corner on the roof to where the Spinel is and throw a grenade down in the yard/shotgun people coming around the corner until the church bell rings.

I recall trying to do it in the way you described it (or at least a similar way), but it was really annoying to get it down. So I recalled a certain strategy where that small house is used to bunch enemies together, and worked from there.

My way was pretty slow but consistent once you could get down the exact distance/angle to throw the incendiary from so that you could kill the two adds with it and only have to worry about the Salvador after that.
