       @nyrath Thorium in general seems great and all, but am I being  overly anxious thinking a leak of molten fluorine salt could be a pretty awful thing?

       @PTR_K @nyrath Yes, you are. 😊 The salt turns solid when cooled, which is a great plus of the MSR designs.

       @neglesaks @PTR_K @nyrath The coolant in salt reactors turning solid when cooled is not an unmitigated positive.  You cannot entirely shut one down or the coolant freezes inside it (a chemical engineer I know was involved in an extended project to remove solidified sodium from a shut down reactor).Each reactor design has advantages and disadvantages.Similarly, contrary to the linked article, thorium is not magic.
