       It's such a Windows ME thing to do, but I've set my desktop to rotate through pictures of my mother every 30 minutes, and I love it. Every time I quit an application or lock my computer I see a photo that makes me happy. Highly recommended.

       @ben a vaguely related and delightful thing you can do with your browser: set your home page to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random and it will open a random Wikipedia page every time you start up. It injects a bit of serendipity into one’s day 😊
