This is gonna sound dumb, but I need a high end wireless membrane keyboard. Yes I know topre exists, but I don't think wireless versions do anymore. Happy hacking keyboard also exists but it needs to be a full normal keyboard. This is for a normie. Some options pop up on eBay but I'm wary of eBay.

yeahit feels a lot like a mid 2010s Thinkpad keyboard, after they went to the chiclet style. slightly mushier but very usable

the expensive keyboard industry looks like it's all going in one direction, toward the aesthetic and feel of mechanical keyboards. I see membrane keyboards being advertised as feeling a lot like mechanical keyboards 🤨

@RustyCrab @deprecated_ii I know some media center computers from about 10 or 15 years back shipped with full-height wireless keyboards, but by now those are probably hard to find- and the wireless dongle was pretty clearly designed for a desk setup.

@deprecated_ii that's understandable but mechs really aren't for everybody. One good thing about membranes is that they're more or less maintenance free

@deprecated_ii idk if you've ever owned a mech before but mechanical failures, developing loud squeaking, and having keys stop working randomly is really not uncommon.

I have one but I only use it for gaming, because it's easier on my fingers than shallow key travel keyboards. I don't like typing on itthe spacebar is a little squeaky at this point
