       @PvtProperty I grab the rear of the slide overhand, then get part of my palm pinched in the ejection port because I shoot lefty and ride the slide back home like a noob.

       Back, behind the ejection port with a "C" style grip, then push the weapon forward rather than pull the slide backwards. Release the grip on the side when it's all the way back.
