They cost more than a regular car, have more problems per vehicle than a regular car, need 5 firetrucks to put out Lithium fires, can't charge in extreme weather, require minerals that are mined by child slaves, weigh substantially more than ICE cars, and tax an already overburdened electrical grid.Other than that EVs are fine.RT: https://poa.st/objects/4ca2d676-e978-4216-a533-94a13aa33155

@NitroDubs @Trigg3rH4ppy I kind of want one, it is an acheiveable goal to setup a small solar grid to power a EV, but refining gas seems, well, they are both doable, but one I could do with my current yard, and the other would be quite the setup xD

@hazlin @Trigg3rH4ppy I'm not a huge diesel fan, but waste vegetable oil can be refined at home into useable diesel fuel, and can be run in pre-computerized diesel trucks.

@NitroDubs @Trigg3rH4ppy Yes but they can’t ferry an angry constituent all the way to DC so they’re our government’s favorite form of transportation

@NitroDubs @Trigg3rH4ppy that does sound amazing xD Unfortunately, the bio power rout requires the most amount of land and resources for the fuel xD

@NitroDubs @Trigg3rH4ppy Also, in the future when they make gas cars illegal & people are forced to get EVs, don't be surprised that in the name of climate justice, the government can control this smart car with geofences or will ration charging time, etc.

@NitroDubs @hazlin @Trigg3rH4ppy You really do need a very "agricultural" vehicle for that to work as a regular thing, any you're probably still going to have to replace all your hoses and maybe add some heating. Hiluxes and pre-TD Landys seem to come off best.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @Trigg3rH4ppy That's why they push them. That, and they want only the wealthy to have personal transportation. The ultimate hypergay future has only wealthy people owning EVs, while everyone else uses mass transit. Meanwhile CBDCs ensure total social credit style surveillance for the whole population. Food would be lab grown goyfeed, and the government would have total control of things like when and how children are born, and how long you get to live. :alex5:

@LTJG_Pliskin @NitroDubs @Trigg3rH4ppy it's funny because they're pretty bad at getting electricity too. I think the last study put them at 3times the energy inefficiency. So for every kW your car charges you burn 3.Also due to battery lifespan and cpu issues the cars have 0 resale and often can't even be stripped for parts. Since they drm lock parts to specific models and years.

@NitroDubs @Trigg3rH4ppy Though, if I could get by with and use a horse, I'd say that would be the best rout, with the highest independence
