remember: when you fail to explain something technical to non/less-technical person then it's your faultI failed today at it but my excuse is: I had limited time and I couldn't draw a picture, I had to explain in couple sentences

@CSB "Explain your thesis as if I were your grandmother" is the most helpful interview-question I ever got. I've taken it with me in my career as well: regardless of what I'm doing at work, if it involves writing an email to someone external about something technical, I always make sure I would *be able* to explain any concept the email is about to my grandmother. The actual email may be more technical, but making sure I understand it well enough to keep it simple is a very helpful start.

@CSB I'm absolutely terrible at drawing, and my writing is atrocious, so even in a whiteboard-world I'm very used to using only words. To my detriment.Undeniably: drawing would be useful.I'm very jealous of people who can put pen to paper and have something appear that's even remotely like what's in their mind. Understandable technical drawings can be a thing of real beauty.

@CSB I have Visio! Doesn't make I'm able to make things look good! Some form of aesthetic sense would be useful!(Though, perhaps that should be a mission for 2023 - become a bit better at visual expression)
