       @JoeyD It should always be remembered that the "liberal arts" is a category specifically meant for people who did not have to work for a living. When that term was first defined, that was large landowners and clergyment. Today, thanks to power machinery, labour productivity is massively greater than it was then, and there's no good reason why we can't all be people of (mostly) leisure.

       @publius I always thought that most liberal arts majors were there to learn how to teach other people about liberal arts. So that then they too can teach people about liberal arts. Speaking for a friend!
