@blaha i mean, if you you take a look at the phase "science fiction", if it is imagining what science might bring us in the future, or in an alternative dimension, and it's fiction...

@blaha the early sci-fi writers, such as Asimov, often just wrote stories about what humans are going to do in the future, without even involving alien species.

@thor I have my autistic tendencies right where I want them. Instead of raging at you that star trek can't qualify as science fiction, I solved a plex library inconsistency that had been bugging me for years

@blaha well, they're essentially like a branch of the military. the Enterprise is a lot like an aircraft carrier. they all walk around in uniforms. and tbh every army i ever saw is a little bit fascist in a way... it's part of the job.
