@lamp maybe check "systemctl list-timers" if your unsure about the timer working, it shows details about the last and next run

@jeff i'm having a look thru the tootctl commands... tootctl cache clear didn't do anything...yeah there is nothing else. i'll try a brute rm -rf, it's a dead instance anyway... i should remove relays and unfollow everyone; only needs to be up to serve the old toots
