Pitbulls are fine, I have had far far more problems with smaller breeds. Terriers and chihuahuas etc, than ANY medium/big dog. They're not for everyone, no breed of dog is. Just like not every person should be a parent. Some people are incompetent. Some dogs have higher requirements than others, and it doesn't mesh with every lifestyle. It's not rocket science.It helps to know their breed's tactics, my Dad used to have a pack of german shepherds. One would distract, get all barky and aggro. The others would circle around behind and go for your knees. If they had to be serious, that'd be when the throat gets ripped out. Luckily they never had to be serious lol. A quick bop on the nose will usually resolve it, a distraction like a squirt bottle or hose will do the trick if it's not serious. If you know how to communicate with them, there's nothing really to be afraid of to begin with tbh. Little dogs are just way more likely to be retarded, even in their own language.

Oh they listened to my dad, the fence just wasn't enough and they wanted to go explore a bit. He had them from puppies too, he rescued their dad from some cunt who had him chained up (~2' at most) with nothing but a brick. So he chewed the brick, barely had any teeth left. Dad wanted to give him a better 2nd half of a life, got him a mrs from the shelter and let 'em have a family. Then he raised the family with them.But yeah I agree, as I said before. Not every dog is suited to every home, just like not every home is suitable to have a kid. There are plenty of incompatibilities. People need to be a lot more responsible.

My neighbor had a big great dane/mastiff mix and they had to put it down because it killed a different neighbors dog one day when the mom was walking it. The entire family was woefully inadequate at handling the dog. I saw that thing pull the dad literally about almost an entire block. The dad was laying on his stomach on the side walk, holding onto the leash, and that dog was still charging forward like it was nothing. The dad got fucked up in the process too. Lol.
