@stux #Cryptocurrencies, like #Forex, are basically #Gamblingnwithoit being regulated as such.Even professional #traders avoid these extremely fluctuating high-risk parts and only do so with "excess winnings", only gambling what they can loose...

@stux The pyramid was in terms of trust too as everyone trusted the guys above them with some players like VCs and Kevin O'Leary. They were assumed to have done due diligence properly which they clearly failed to do so.

@stux I see this point and it has its lulz merit; however I disagree.I don't think most ppl who chase these ok let's say easy gains do extensive crypto studies.Similarly most ppl who try stock trading did not spend years studying how markets work. It's no wonder it all goes to shits."Asking for it" is very demeaning and overused in many other ugly contexts. I don't find it a laughing matter.I feel sorry for anyone who lost their money. Anyone can be scammed. Stigma is horrific.

@stux wow. He called it. I’m surprised crypto hasn’t tanked more than it has. There is still some optimism and confidence in crypto sustaining prices at their current levels. And it’s not like the dollar backed by the full faith of a government or gold or something.

@stux So many people have heavy-handedly tried to persuade me to invest in crypto. I've never been a risk taker, I'm not wealthy enough to risk losing money. But, as soon as I am promised riches beyond my wildest dreams, I smell a big fat lie. I'm so sorry too, for anyone who has lost money.

@stux Totally agree. My attitude to investing in things: "Don't invest in things you don't understand or expect to lose the money "I invested in #bitcoin and I don't claim to fully understand the "value" of it, so my investment was as much as it doesn't hurt to lose it.

@stux It’s worse than that. SBF used a part of the money to advertise through mainstream channels that come with the trappings of respectability. I mean, NFL refs? Surely they won’t advertise for an obvious fraud, right? So in fact he’s bought social capital and burned it for profit and left us all worse off because cynicism and distrust in institutions further increases.

@stux I was part of that crypto wave between 2018-2020.. since then I stopped investing and literally saw my crypto assets shrink. So I sold it all. Got a slight loss in the end, but I’m glad it wasn’t that bad nonetheless. The losses I’m reading lately is absolutely nuts.
