@GoodPerson @alex Its definitely bizarre. I also think it's unethical to amend a press release that was widely cited in reporting after the fact with zero indication it was amended. It makes it look like the journalists are lying about what Mastodon said rather than the other way around. It's standard to issue a Correction Notice when PRs are edited. @graf @alex I typed out 500 characters of reasons why I can't, but it ultimately boils down to "I don't have time right now".I don't have the time to learn a new backend to adequately support, plus I dislike functional programming at least as much as I dislike Ruby.I can't even be bothered to maintain my own fork of Mastodon. Fedi is 100x better for finding people and better for your posts being seen by others. I get more engagement in a few hours here than I did in 2 weeks over there. People post to be seen, but Torba has people on Gab posting into the void.
