But they still would have had to redesign the transmission. Which wasn't going to happen.Sherman has an easy means of egress for every crew member. That's not even particularly common today with MBTs. Being in a burning T-34 was basically guaranteed death for all but one member of the crew. Sherman crews could often survive the complete destruction of their vehicle and be provided a replacement.Blah blah blah. There's so much that could be said about this.

The number of T-34s from the early war that survive to this day can probably be counted on one hand, and the rest of them didn't fucking rust to death. Other than that, you're just relying on whatever can be gleaned from contemporary documentation--which--well.You can just say the original production run was nice. I can't definitively prove you wrong.

@Free_Idealist @PonyPanda @LoneMacReady @branman65 @mkultra The highly praised sloped front armor of the T34 suffered a lot from hull breaking. hull breaking is where the front plate cracks like an egg because its to brittle or the plate breaks off its seams because the welds couldn't take the force. This was the main reason why the Panzer 3 and 4 could go toe to toe with t34s. a squad of panzers would just hammer on a t34 till it fell apart.Hull breaking was also the main reason why the Germans didnt slope the armor of their early tanks.
