       Current pet peeve: Sites that make you scroll through an enormous list of cookie settings to let you see the page, and forget those settings almost immediately.

       Closely followed by sites (icloud.com is particular offender) that refuses to honor the "remember me" status for very long, forcing too may login dialogs.

       @robpike This is utterly dangerous and trains users to get phished.The user should never see a password prompt they did not expect to see.

       @robpike the immediate argument for the inkognito window:"legitimate interest"is used as a term in any of the cookies.I have mostly changed to open sites with intrusive cookie banners like that if I can not avoid them altogether. I don't seem to miss anything.

       @robpike Cookie AutoDelete has been my best friend for years. Close the last page tab with a site in it and all the cookies associated with that site are deleted. So, I just ignore cookie settings for the most part; they're all going to be deleted anyway...

       @robpike That's what you get for using a browser that runs proprietary JavaScript served to it.I can think of only one site that has displayed cookie settings to me in ages.https://icloud.com saves me from itself without me having to do anything - I just get a blank page.
