Boomers started a slippery slope that's lead to zoomers treating anyone and everyone as 100% disposable. I'm not being dramatic, it's part of the bigger picture they paint. Be it arbitrarily burning bridges, Tinder use or automated multiplayer grouping, it's completely fucking up society in aspects big and small, online and IRL.

@specimen73 yeah and that's why i don't play. valve actively punishes turbo players and that's the only gamemode that's any fun. once you start calculating how to win you lose the fun. same with league of coomers.

In League they have a turbo game mode called "Ultra Rapid Fire" that they only let you play like two months out of the year and they've explicitly said they have to keep it infrequent because once people have played that mode they don't go back to playing regular League.God forbid people play a 15-20 minute mode where they get to do shit instead of a 45 minute slog fest where they lose because of someone feeding or going AFK.

@jack @specimen73 Going from Turbo to Standard in Dota is like having brake pads dig into your eyes. Games frequently last an hour, the early game lasts forever, and if you're not a high position you simply do not have gold to do anything with besides get the one or two items you absolutely need to complete your kit.I have thousands of hours in Dota from the beta and this was way worse before. They've made really good decisions over time to increase the pace of the game, keep players actually engaged throughout the match instead of having extended periods of AFK farming, and also give a team that's very far behind a fair chance with jungle items.I haven't played League in a long time, but the last time I did, they had done two things that were immediately obvious to me:1) Bench the Kench and break his knees so he's sad to play.2) The team that does dragons, wins.
