Look no further than this to know how much #Croatia loves their football (soccer) and their national team: Tomorrow a nationwide grocery chain (Konzum) will close early so that their employees can all get home in time to watch Croatia🇭🇷 vs Argentina🇦🇷 in the #WorldCup semifinal. (When I lived in America, grocery chains wouldn't even let all employees have Christmas off!)

@killyourfm Yesterday I read an article about Luka Modrić's life. He has lived horrible and heartbreaking stuff, and he became such a great leader. I'm in awe. He and his team deserves all the grocery stores to close, so they can watch the game :)

@alinares There's something about the Croatian spirit that is awe-inspiring too. I had a first-hand glimpse of it during the 2018 World Cup: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2018/07/16/the-2018-world-cup-final-american-in-croatia/So many of these people have survived war in their backyard (including my wife) that it changes the entire nation's mentality about certain things.
