Sick to death of Labour careerists thinking they can make a living out of putting the boot into working class people and public services. @AuthorJaneMarch these strikes have to be seen in the same way as the miner's strike in the 80s. If we lose these we lose another generation or more to being battered down by profiteers and greed. We'll also be wrecking our planet. I honestly feel unions and workers standing up to our bosses and politicians to demand a better future is all we have right now. #Labour and Wes Streeting won't deliver, and neither will Starmer. As in the past, we'll have to force them to give us our worth

@AuthorJaneMarch lol, well let's start with me not being English and work on the notion of condescension from there shall we? When our major parties broadly agree that neo-liberal capitalism is our only system of organising ourselves then all we have is our trade unions and ability to withdraw from work. Sure strikes aren't always effective but they often are, and given there is no other option then all I am asking here is that people support striking workers. Too much?

Our labour is our only weapon, apart from having little else left with which to express our displeasure & reluctance to continue being ruled through lies & fraudulently won elections. Without #PR the ballot box seems rigged. Two world wars & promises of a land fit for heroes, never again & a welfare state slaughtered by a self-serving corrupt minority.

@MiguelSmizSuarez You speak as a citizen of a small island who seems unaware of how fascist regimes work. Perhaps the English should not just repeat information the majority of the world already knows and ask questions of those who have lived it and fought it. I grew up under fascism and all I get is the English (I am English) speaking as if they know stuff and never asking anything. Strikes won't work unless it's a general strike

Perhaps condescending attitudes and, certainly comments based on utter and total ignorance aren't the best ground from which to launch attacks on opinions with which you disagree. Thanks for your view on strikes, I disagree, but see little value in trying to explain as you appear to have made up your mind already.
