Fucking boomers man "oh just start WW3, what's the worst that could happen the US is just like it was under Reagan"The US military is extremely deteriorated, has a gigantic recruiting crisis, and would be engaged in around half a dozen or so fronts simultaneously in any WW3 scenario. The Russians are having trouble gaining ground from a nation being supplied by the entire western world, we couldn't handle goat herders whose supplies came from dead American soldiers and the guns left over by the soviets in the 80s. WW3 happens, we lose, and if the nukes start flying we would be even more fucked, since China and Russia both have advanced hypersonic missile programs and have actively tested their nuclear arsenals, we haven't even so much as conducted an underground nuclear test since the 90s and are at least 2 decades behind both in hypersonic missile tech, and that's not a matter of "our hypersonics are classified" take it from a guy who knows people in the industry, our hypersonic tech doesn't exist

@1967GTO @Shadowman311 China has enough men that in a conventional war, they'll have time to blood plenty of them before we can kill them. See, for example, the Korean War. Also, what's the scenario here? We attempt to invade China AND Russia? Utterly delusional, war ends in the first week, our forces are wiped out. They invade mainland US? I'm not sure why they would do that, but yes we can repel their landings with current conventional tech relatively indefinitely due to their limited sealift capacity.

This is retarded on many levels. There are some things I agree with like the us has a recruitment problem, a lot of the competent people are leaving or being forced out due to politics and ww3 is a shit idea. However the united states has had hypersonic missiles since the fucking sixties. The russian armed forces are so poorly equipped the average infantryman, not even conscript doesn't have an optic or night vision of any kind putting their infantry at the combat capability of america... in vietnam. The russian armor is even more of a joke with most of their higher tech tanks turning out to either suck or straight up not exist (t14 armata). The russian airforce has only a small amount of truly modern aircraft with poor air logistics severely limiting their capability. What about the chinese you might ask? They are even worse off, considerably their military is still using the trash fire that is the qbz, their armor is worse than russias and their airforce has a lot of the same problems the russians do. However the dumbest thing you said is that America lost in Afghanistan the united states had a stanglegrip over the country but just up and left expecting the ANA who are utterly incompetent to hold the country on their own. The ANA being the ANA just fled instead of fighting and thus the Afghanistan shitshow.

The reality on the ground is simple the ground war was over the Americans won overwhelmingly. Taking like one casualty to one hundred they inflicted on insurgents. The fact that they just left expecting the ANA to hold the country is the L it's not a failure of military power or doctrine was the point. Afghanistan was a failure of the president or more realistically whoever makes his decisions.
