Some people are only more inclined to find the same sex attractive due to a hormonal abnormality, and others have a psychosexual compulsion due to abuse or crossed wires from certain formative, quasisexual experiences. It seems like in women it more often stems from abuse, and in men it's more often hormonal. If you are counting bisexuals as dykes, then almost all of those women are that way because of their hormones.

The female body sees this male presence as a problem, so it "attacks" it with estrogen to make it less male-like. I mean I knew a FtM rape victim who before coming out, was literally one of the most broken people I've seen online. Yes, but the thing is I don't think you could understand the magnitude of how absolutely broken she was through text. Even compliments she handled poorly with self loathing and angst, and when you talked to her it was obvious why. She was literally a rape victim. She had been used as a hole to fuck by a rapist. On top of that, she had serious issues paying the bills doing SFW art on the internet that doesn't pander to specific communities and I'm sure her broken mindset did not help this one bit. Which is why she was grasping for control somehow. Being a moderator on a website that would ban you for posting comments in the comment box thanks to her was how she felt like she had control, and this backfired when angry users began to fuck with her. Getting harassed by trolls online was a reminder that she was not in the amount of control she thought she was, and that she had little power outside her website.

The chronology of the Industrial Revolution is incredibly important to understanding why the Victorian Era was like it was.Ironically to the stereotypes this guy was invoking, the Victorian era was quite liberal, even progressive in many ways, people only see it as repressive now because it reestablished separate spheres for men and women and because people didn't openly flaunt their promiscuity.
