Ever since my #autism and #adhd diagnoses this year, I've found myself slightly obsessively watching documentaries and movies/TV shows about autistic people. I think I'm trying to find my place in all this. I think maybe I'm looking for myself reflected in other autistic/neurodivergent people. But I don't see it yet. Or rather, I do see hints here and there, but probably not so much in the more obvious manifestations... 1/2#actuallyautistic @actuallyautistic #asd #neurodivergent

Oh, any recommendations for good literary novels or graphic novels with authentically #autistic / #neurodivergent characters? Thanks.#actuallyautic #adhd @actuallyautistic 2/2

@Richard_Littler would sci-fi count? The Murderbot books by Martha Wells are widely viewed as good autism rep. They start with novellas (short novels) so reading All Systems Red (the first) is fairly low commitment. They also won lots of awards.
