My lawyer was apparently talking to my dad about seeing a growing number of cases of people being hospitalized after psychotic episodes. Does anyone have any more information on this? I am seriously starting to believe this is what happened to me

@Meatballmrr From what little I've seen you relate, it does sound exactly like a psychotic episode. To be blunt, I assumed you were given this diagnosis. Were you not?

@Meatballmrr But you had delusional belief cycles where you filled in missing or incomplete information autonomously, drew causal links that weren't "real" etc.Sure it manifested as a "paranoid delusion", but that's extremely common for psychotic states!I'm really surprised they put bipolar down for that, to be honest.

@Meatballmrr So they recognised psychotic symptoms since they prescribed you antipsychotics, but they... didn't diagnose it as a psychotic episode?I mean I've heard that in the US antipsychotics are widely overprescribed for a whole bunch of reasons (and here in the UK too actually but in a different scenario,) often just to ensure patient compliance. So I guess it's possible that happened...but it really does seem odd!

@hermit i spent days at the rehab walking up and down the stairs for absolutely no reason like every 5 minutes or so and getting up to walk back and forth basically every minute. There were several days like that it was so scary

@hermit no, no reason at all. Akathisia is basically like being a wind up toy and someone is constantly rewinding you. There is no reason for it you just move. Resistance is comparable to feeling like you're going to explode, and i learned pretty quickly the futility of it.

@hermit the psychiatrist at the rehab, who wasn't the one that prescribed it, told me it was for the aftereffects of mania. It was abilify.I also don't know if i actually have bipolar since i had never had a manic episode before this and never had a depressive episode either.

@hermit it began with me releasing an album and being extremely excited about it, feeling like i had created a complete piece of music that would be well received, sending it to a bunch of critics i liked, and then watching a super eye patch wolf video that led me to believe he had sought me out and had been steering my life leading up to my destiny of being a DJ.God this is really stupid, and it will turn into a wall of text if i try to explain what i came up with, but i thought it was my destiny because next year is 2023 (the KLF) and this year was my Saturn return, and everything in my life seemed to be completely falling into place in my life (i was smoking weed like every hour of the day at this point, btw)

@hermit i really want there to be more research into how weed is getting dangerously potent now, I'm not against it by any means but i believe I'm case study for that, there is absolutely no history of bipolar in my family and anything close to "mania" or "depression" i experienced in my early life was just the regular ups and downs Imo
