@stux This is funny. 'Fries' is spelled similarly as the Dutch adjective 'Frysian', for anything from Friesland. I like the coincidence, it's funny.

@stux We're having a good dinner too - leftover Thanksgiving turkey slices (currently being thawed), gravy, cranberry sauce, potatoes & a green veggie. The best part: easy clean-up!

@stux So interesting. The Dutch say fries, or is that your personal connection with American English? I'm half English, so chips it was for many years - now I switch between fries or chips depending on in which "language" my brain is thinking at that moment. <g>
