So Post combines microblogging with Reddit-like functionality, being able to vote on comments such that they're sortable. I argued for that here a while ago, our bonus feature being that the original post would be your actual blog post or podcast episode/notes on your own site. No centralized system could do that and might become our "killer app" for content producers.

@threalist no, it's now Twitter for lefties. big VC backing perhaps. another silo for people who think decentralization is too complicated etc. but it does have that cool feature we should steal and do even better. and there might be payments.

@colinsmatt11 @threalist @realcaseyrollins @cjd @bot I'm probably not explaining it well enough. having a fedi reddit is great, but I think the magic would come from combining things. to have the feed of mastodon etc but then when you click on an original post, you see it treated like a reddit post. with ranking of comments.and the next step is every article, video or podcast episode being an original post. the silos can't do this, but we could. all original content natively part of the fedi

@wjmaggos we already have favorite counts and threading, can't any client already do this? Granted, any instance can "cheat" by faking fave counts, but that's the nature of fedi.
