@eggmont @senj I have an account on post just to keep an eye on it, but it still bugs me that Waze was originally community driven, made a game out of users mapping the world (I mapped most of my neighbourhood and surrounds as there was nothing there in Waze to begin with) and then when it was good enough to commercialise sold it and all the user data we created.

@shanelord @senj I am a programmer, 30+ languages to date, and there is nothing worse than having four guys in Finland take credit for and commercialize a program I put hundreds of volunteer hours into thereby turning my community contribution into billions of dollars for themselves without giving a solitary dime back to the community and making my volunteer effort into slave labor for opportunists.I am always leery of anything that resells my work without compensation.
